Hi guys, just a brief introduction, some of you may already know me.
I am from Manchester UK but I have resided in Cyprus in the eastern med for about 12 years.
I started virtual racing long ago with Sega Rally on the ps2 but quickly migrated to pc and the original rFactor, bought a cheap wheel and the rest is history, done the usual run through all the various sims of the last decade but I pretty exclusively stick with rF2 now, with a bit of offline dirt rally for kicks.
I own and run the SrFL facebook community page that some of you may be familiar with and that takes up a lot of my time. I own all the other titles with the exception of pCars ( I refunded when Ian Bell became a knob )
I started with a league years ago and was admin of it but the site folded through lack of members, I then went simjunkies but never really enjoyed my time there and after that found my way to phoenixracingclub where I became admin, but lack of time and a few disagreements about server settings etc later and I retired from running leagues all together ( I have the up most respect to anyone mad enough to organise any league and try and please everyone )
I've signed up and participated in various leagues here and there ( SRP, Revs, Bvtcc ) but somehow always end up going back to PRC as the general level of racing is very good and evenly balanced with my own skills.
I like tintops mostly, gt cars, touring and historic touring cars, I'm a bit of a purist, so drive on h pattern or seq if that's how the car was designed etc and I would love to be able to join servers with 100% damage, no escape to pits, cockpit only views, no gamepads etc, but they are few and far between.
I wouldn't call myself an alien ( far from it ) but I am consistant, safe and would say my racecraft is very good, there is nothing I enjoy more than a good midpack battle with likeminded mates. But I can be very serious come racetime and class sim racing as a hobby, competetive sport, lifestyle etc and never refer to it as gaming ! More a training tool.
Thanks for the invite into this group.
